Robert Conrad, Star of 'The Wild Wild West,' Dies at 84

Legendary Actor and Stuntman Remembered for Iconic Roles

Robert Conrad, the actor best known for his starring role as Secret Service agent James West on the 1960s TV series "The Wild Wild West," has died at the age of 84, according to his family spokesperson.

Born Conrad Robert Norton Falk on March 1, 1935, Conrad was a graduate of Northwestern University and got his start in the film and television industry after graduating.

In addition to "The Wild Wild West," Conrad also starred in a number of other popular TV shows, including "Baa Baa Black Sheep," "The High Chaparral," and "The Duke." He also appeared in over 100 films, including "The Longest Day," "The Great Escape," and "Young Billy Young."

Conrad was known for his athleticism and often performed his own stunts in his films and TV shows. He was also a talented singer and released several albums throughout his career.

Conrad's family released a statement remembering him as a "wonderful husband, father, and grandfather" and as "a man of great character and integrity."
